Omar Amin graduated from the University of South Florida in 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts in both International Studies and Spanish. Mr. Amin then pursued his legal studies at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, where he made the Honor Roll twice while completing his Juris Doctor and earning a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy.
During his time at Stetson, Mr. Amin was a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team and Stetson’s renowned Dispute Resolution Board. At the 2019 Richard DeWitt Vis Pre-Moot competition in Miami, Florida, Mr. Amin and his team won first place.
During law school, Mr. Amin externed with the Honorable Judge Pamela Campbell and the Honorable Judge Amy Williams at The Sixth Circuit Court in St. Petersburg, Florida. He also worked as a summer associate abroad at International Business Legal Associates in Amman, Jordan, during the summer of 2019.
Additionally, Mr. Amin served as a Teaching Assistant for Pre-Trial Practices and as a Fellow at the College of Law’s Academic Success Center. He gifted his time to the Pinellas County Fines and Fees Justice Center where he did pro bono work surveying individuals who have been affected by fees owed to the criminal justice system as well as Bay Area Legal Services where he translated court documents from English to Spanish to be used by pro se litigants.
