Wilkes & Associates, P.A. runners and walkers joined forces at the 10th annual Tampa Fire 5k and 1-mile walk on Saturday, November 6, 2021, in downtown Tampa to support pediatric burn victims.

The annual race supports Camp Hopetáke, a week-long summer camp hosted for pediatric burn survivors, which provides a safe and supportive environment for previously burned children of all ages.

The word “Hopetáke” derives from the Seminole Indian language and means: “children.”

Camp Hopetáke is free of charge for all who attend and offers a non-threatening atmosphere for kids to share their feelings and interact with other young burn victims from all over Florida to heal social and emotional scars associated with their injuries.
