Pennsylvania Jury Finds Nursing Home and its Management Company Liable for Resident’s Death

Wilkes & Associates attorneys Michael Collis and Ryan Duty represented the family of a woman who died after developing an infected pressure sore on her heel in a nursing home in Johnstown, PA.  After a 7-day trial, the jury found the nursing-home and its management company equally liable for the resident’s wrongful death and awarded a total of $800,000 in damages.
