BIOGRAPHY
Lisa M. Tanaka joined Wilkes & Associates in 2013 and continues to devote her legal career to fighting for victims injured by the injustice of individuals, corporations, and long-term care facilities. After years of litigating as a trial attorney in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia, Ms. Tanaka now mainly focuses her practice on appeals. She handles the firm's appellate and appellate-related matters. She also continues to provide trial support before, during, and after trials. Ms. Tanaka earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Guelph in Canada, a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada, and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Stetson Moot Court Board and competed internationally in Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria. Ms. Tanaka also earned Honorable Mention for Best Team Orals at Willem C. Vis Competition in Vienna and received the Pro Bono Service Award.EDUCATION
