Position Overview: Wilkes & Associates, P.A. seeks a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience to focus on long term care litigation, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injury cases. Preferred candidates will have prior employment as a prosecutor, public defender, JAG officer, or experience in medical malpractice, nursing home/elder abuse, or other catastrophic personal injury litigation. Qualified candidates will have a passion for being in the courtroom and trial. The successful candidate will take depositions, argue hearings, present at mediations, and participate at trials and arbitrations early on in their practice. Wilkes & Associates, P.A. offers competitive compensation, great benefits, and does not have a billable hour requirement. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Handle hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitration proceedings
  • Trial experience preferred
  • Able to work independently but also collaboratively with other team members
  • Excellent research skills, specifically utilizing Westlaw
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of Florida
